Final three T201 against England Closed for Audience Due to COVID 19 cases



To comply with regulation and avoid the spread of Covid 19 virus. BCCI and GCA has decided to conduct the final three T201 against England at the Narendra Modi Stadium behind closed doors said on Monday.The decision was arrive at following detailed discussions with the state and local health authorities.


"Those who have purchased tickets for any or all three T20Is will be refunded and the process for the same will be announced in due course.” the released statement.


Due to rising COVID-19 cases Gujarat Cricket Association (GCA) issued statement that the remaining T20 Indernational Matches between India and England will be played without audience at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.


“Refund will be given to the spectators who have purchased tickets.Those who have received complimentary tickets are requested not to visit the stadium” said Dhanraj Nathwani , vice president of GCA.


Narenda Modi Stadium has 110,000 capacity and it would be empty for the upcoming games on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. Numbers of Covid -19 new cases rise to 25,000 thousand since this weekend and it is highest number since mid- December. Last game which India won by seven wickets, have shown that the audience are lack of social distancing in the location.
