Keegan Murray was born on August 19, 2000. Is an American professional basketball player for the Sacramento Kings of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He was selected fourth overall in the 2022 NBA draft His father played college basketball for Iowa. Keegan Murray and his twin brother Kris was teammate in High school and college.
Murray was played in Prairie High School. As a senior he has a averaged 20.3 points and have 7.2 rebounds per game and he was named Metro Player of the Year. He was spent his postgraduate year at DME Academy in Florida to gain more exposure. As freshman, 7.2 points, 5.1 rebounds and 1.3 blocks per game earn as a Big Ten All-Freshman Team honors. On November 16, 2021 Murray posted a 27 points 21 rebounds and four blocks win against the North Carolina Central with the score of 86-69. It was the first 20 point, 20 rebound game in an Iowa player since Bruce King in a year of 1977. He was suffer in ankle injury during the game against the Virginia and forcing him to miss the game the team win with score of 75-74. On December 18, Murray scored 35 points in a 84-75 win over the Utah State. He scored a career -high 37 points on Feb 13, 2022 win against the Nebraska. Murray was named to First Team All-Big Ten and won the Karl Malone Award as the Nations top power forward. Murray was declared for the 2022 NBA draft, to remaining his college eligibility.
In the 2022 NBA draft, Murray was selected with the fourth overall pick by the Sacramento Kings. He made his summer league debut on July 2 against the Golden State Warriors, putting up 26 points and eight rebounds in an 86–68 win.
