Nikola Jovic was born on June 9 2003 is a Serbian professional basketball player. He was born on Leicestershire, England his father already played basketball. He was pick in the 2022 NBA DRAFT in Miami Heat.
He was playing basketball in KK Sava youth system before joining the Mega Basket youth system in year of 2018. His average score 29.3 points, 10.3 rebounds and 4.5 assists and 1.8 blocks in a 28 minutes per game, he was shooting 66% from the field and 17% from three and won the MVP Award.
MEGA BASKET 2021-2022
Jovic made a senior debut for Mega basket in 2021 of February at the Radivoj Korac Cup tournament in the Novi Sad. Jovic made his ABA League debut with the split score 74-65 record of 10 points, 9 rebounds in 21 minutes of playing. June 10, 2021 after his 18th birthday he signed his professional contract with MEGA.
In the NBA survey 2021-2022 NBA season. Jovic received votes for became the best international player not playing in the NBA. In April 2022, he was named ABA League Top Prospect for the 2021-2022 season. His average score 11.7 points while shooting 42.8 points from the field, 35.6 for threes and 75.3 points for free throw , 3.4 assists to 2.7 turnover s and blocks of 0.4 and have 4.4 rebounds in 25 appearances.
In April 2022, Jovic declared for joining the NBA DRAFT 2022, He was selected with the 27th overall pick by Miami Heat in the draft. Jovic attended the 2022 NBA draft in Barclays Center in Brooklyn New York. He was signed officially a multi year rookie scale contract with the Miami Heat on July 2022. He joined the Miami Heat team for the NBA Summer League.
