Mithali Raj born on December 3, 1982 in a Tamil family in Rajasthan, India. Her father was a Warrant Officer in the Indian Air force, and her mother is a housewife. She started to play at the age of 10. She lives in Hyderabad. She attended in all girls school. She started cricket coaching in her school days with her elder brother. Mithali had a nicknamed “Lady Tendulkar of Indian Women’s cricket”, she is the all time leading run scorer of India in all formats.


Mithali Raj playing all three cricket formats in India, One day, Test and T20. In 1997 Women’s Cricket World Cup she was 14 year old that time she was named but her team couldn’t make to the finals. She made her debut in One Day International on a year of 1999 against the Ireland and she scored victorious 114 runs. At the age of 19 she break the world’s highest Individual test score she score 214 against Karen Rolton’s score of 209.


She was ill with a typhoid during the Cricinfo Women’s World Cup on year of 2002, But she led the team to the First World Cup final in 2005 against the South Africa team. She was also the recipient on the Arjuna Award for the year of 2003. Raj was also the No.1 Cricketer in ODI chart in Women’s division and first player to captain most matches for the Indian team in ODI and T20I. She lead the Indian Team to the final of 2017 Women’s Cricket World Cup where the ream lost to the England team by nine runs on July 2017.


She was appointed to be a batting consultant for the India’s National Cricket for Women and she played as a player-coach.
